Meals for this Week

This post is a cross-post from my other blog, Party of Five. It can give you some meal ideas. On Tuesday I'll mostly just eat the filling out of the calzones. Otherwise, I usually eat whatever I make for the rest of the gang, just less of it.

Monday: Spinach Chicken Pasta
Tuesday: Calzones (choice of pepperoni, spinach, mushroom, etc filling)
Wednesday: Sausage & Vegetables over Rice
Thursday: Meatloaf
Friday: Chili, Chips, and Cheese
Saturday: leftovers
Sunday: Easter (getting together with my family; not sure what I am bringing to share)

Have a great week! You can also check out lots more menus at orgjunkies Menu Plan Monday!

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead

  1. becky, just checking in on you....hope you had a wonderful Easter. Just wondering, do you go to support group meetings? I got the notice for the one coming up and thought I might go. It cant hurt right?! I struggle too, we went on vacation over spring break, we walked and walked in theme parks all day long, and I didn't loose an ounce! I felt like I didn't eat that bad, had one goody all week, about half a milkshake. Geeze, in the old days I would have had that at one meal! Good job geting back on the wagon! You can do it! Jodi

  2. Hi Jodi!

It's great to hear from you!

I haven't been to the support group meetings except for what was required pre-op. My mom & sister, who both had lap-band surgery done by Dr Ray, went pretty faithfully to the meetings for several months after having their surgery. They both said they got alot out of them. As for me, I am so busy in my daily life (homeschooling, working, running after a 2 year old, etc, etc) that I couldn't justify being gone all evening to go to the meetings. I live about 1.5 hours away from his office so it takes all evening between the drive and staying for the meeting. I have found it much easier to go online on sites like Lapband Talk, etc to look up specific info or ask questions. Maybe you'll enjoy going to the meetings. I might have gone if I lived closer.

I go next Tuesday, April 13th for my 6 month visit and a fill. I feel like I have hardly any restriction at this point (except sometimes in the early morning). I sooo need to get back in control with following the band rules. I have been doing somewhat better but not nearly as well as I will when I get good restriction.

    Talk to you soon!
